Moonlight is a great takeaway located in a side street just off Ocean Road (one of S Shields' main streets for restaurants/takeaway food). Out of all the takeaways in the area Moonlight is my favourite. They were recommended to me by a friend and I have been going there ever since! Compared to some of the local takeaways Moolight haven't been there as long as the others, however, the standard of their food is very good. They have very good deals and offer large portions. Usually one meal is ample for a friend and I to share between us (and we are pretty big eaters!) As far as I remember from last time I went there, it was around £10 for a two course meal which is good value for Ocean Road. There are always plenty customers which I think is a sign of a good takeaway! But the waiting time is fairly short. The shop itself is quite small but clean and welcoming.
